According to American Express (AmEx), whose agents book a lot of trips,
defines “engagementcation”: “Trips dedicated to marriage proposals.” American Express travel specialists say in a press release that the most requested amenity for romance travel isn’t Champagne, or rose petals to sprinkle in the bath or on the bed, but rather location recommendations for marriage proposals.
